Megan Connolly Event & Volunteer Coordinator Megan Connolly is an Alberta native that currently resides in Cochrane. She has a long history of volunteer work with Citizen Science Bee Program and Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park, Fly Right Swing Dance Group, Pet Access League Society, and you may recognize her from numerous events with the Nifty Fifties. Megan is an environmentally conscious animal lover. She has an array of experience ranging from owning her own dog walking business to interior design, to professional oboe playing with the Royal Canadian Navy. Megan is passionate about event planning and improving the quality of life for older adults. |
Rae Lynn GatesProgram Coordinator Rae Lynn Gates was born and raised right here in Calgary. She has one beautiful daughter, Lauren, two dogs and three cats. Rae Lynn loves people and has spent most of her career working with them. Prior to working with the Parkdale Nifty Fifties she spent the past 15 years working with the vulnerable street population in Shelters, Transitional housing and Supportive housing. Rae Lynn also works part time as a caregiver to an 8-year-old boy with Autism and his twin brother. When Rae Lynn is not working she can be found spending time with her animals. Her two beautiful dogs are: Archie who is an overly loving Golden Retriever Lab cross and Lola, an Olde English Bulldog. Rae Lynn’s 3 cats are all of the orange variety. Their names are Kevin Patrick Gates, Portia and Harley. Rae Lynn enjoys baking (as some of you might know) and loves to take day trips to the mountains. Some facts about Rae Lynn: She is left handed. She collects Russian Stacking Dolls and has 15 sets. She has flown in a hot air balloon as her parents owned a hot air balloon company. She won $1000 on a radio contest and she has worked in the casino as a blackjack dealer. Rae Lynn enjoy being a part of the Parkdale Nifty 50’s community and look forward to connecting with our members. |
Kyla CrookesProgram Manager Kyla joins us with a Social Work and Program Management background. She has worked with older adults and vulnerable populations in Calgary for over 7 years. Kyla brings a high level of professionalism and exemplary client service to her role. She enjoys cats, camping and spending time with her husband and extended family. Kyla can often be found relaxing in her backyard with her cat Put-Put and scanning the sky for evidence of alien civilizations. A Calgary native, her motivation is to work with, and help improve, her community to make the greatest possible positive difference. |
Devon AsheExecutive DirectorDevon Ashe has been an experienced leader in Calgary's Non-Profit industry for 15 years. She has a gift for engaging and supporting clients, particularly individuals in crisis, recovery, and/or requiring wraparound services. She is an active volunteer for the MS Society and the Pet Access League Society {PALS}. She specializes in staff and client management, grant writing, team training and stakeholder consulting, As a enthusiastic supporter of the arts in Calgary, often attending local and touring events to absorb art in a variety of mediums. Devon bring her passion for the arts into her work in order to curate partnerships with art, music and animal therapies for the demographics she wants to assist. Mark MogenFacility CoordinatorMark is a generous and hardworking individual who is always ready to lend a helping hand around the building. As a contractor with Parkdale Nifty Fifties, Mark plays a key role in facilities maintenance, setup, and keeping the conversation lively! He takes great pride in the many activities he’s involved in, including being an active member of the Calgary Numismatic Society and the International Pin Club. Mark’s dedication and enthusiasm make him a valued part of our team and community. |
